Een 17-jarige jongen uit Reeuwijk is zondagmorgen aangehouden nadat hij met een auto in de sloot was beland. Hij bleek onder invloed van alcohol te zijn. De jongen had rond 3.30 uur zonder toestemming de auto van zijn moeder meegenomen. Op de Dunantlaan verloor hij de controle over de auto, reed tegen een reflectiepaal en een lantaarnpaal en belandde tenslotte met de neus van de auto in de sloot. Hij bleef ongedeerd. Een getuige heeft zich over de jongen ontfermd en de politie gebeld. De jongen gaf meteen toe dat hij pas 17 was en daarom ook geen rijbewijs had. Ook vertelde hij spontaan dat hij had gedronken. Bij een ademanalyse blies hij 475 ug/l, terwijl de toegestane grens 220 ug/l bedraagt.
